Ahhhh Peru!

It was probably my all time favorite trip. It was my first time in South America and challenged me in many ways!

I had already lost around 30 lbs before going on this trip. The goal was to climb a 1000 ft mountain and I did it! ⛰️

No gout flare up two weeks before was stopping me! I was limping up until the day before the trip. I didn’t care. I was going come hell or high water. 

But it was also then at the end of the trip that I looked at my photos and thought, “No, this not who I am. I need to work harder” and so I did!

It took me a lot longer to get where I am now but it’s a marathon, not a sprint. Many setbacks occurred but that’s why the comeback is always so much sweeter!

It’s also funny to think that I hid behind black for so many years and now it’s not even a thought to reach for all black unless necessary.

We’ve come a long way baby and it’s only up from here ❤️🫶🏼
