## Caption

We'll be introducing each of our four leaders and their programs the next few days in alphabetical order. Yesterday we forgot to mention that this Leadership Program is also paid. We've found that underrepresented groups are often and consistently over asked to donate their time and this is one small way we can acknowledge their expertise and respect their time. Burnout is real, all.

First up, dr._j_phd and the BIPOC program. 

Jared Hanson is a Fort Collins local and has been racing for 1stcitycycling elite team for 5 seasons of road, CX, MTB, and endurance gravel races. He was the recipient of rideforracialjustice 's BIPOC Scholarship at sbtgrvl 2021 & gravelgraceland 2019 BIPOC Scholarship. Jared has held many positions with local bike races including the media director for crossofthenorth p/b fattire cyclocross race. He has worked closely with OMBA as a member of the Diamond Peaks Mountain Bike Patrol to provide trail user assistance, trail maintenance, and partner with local land agencies to grow and maintain Larimer & Albany Counties' extensive trail networks. 

In 2023, Jared managed the 20-athlete BIPOC scholarship program, working with non-profit Ride for Racial Justice on housing, creating an online space for athletes to communicate to each other, and organizing a special gathering for those riders to come together on race weekend. We're glad Jared is back and the BIPOC scholarship is currently still accepting applications through the end of the month. Learn more through the link in bio.
