Alembic on Haight Street has a bar that is more than just a place to drink; it is a piece of San Francisco history. Take a closer look at the numbers carved into the wood bar. Does it look familiar?

Their wooden bar is made of salvaged stadium seats from the original Kezar Stadium, the original home of the San Francisco 49ers. Those numbers you see are the original seat numbers! 

The stadium was completed in 1925 and was the home of the 49ers from 1946 to 1970. Before demolishing the stadium, the original wooden benches and other items were sold to fans. They now have a final home at Alembic for all Niners fans and history buffs to enjoy.

Stop by and enjoy a drink before walking down to the current Kezar Stadium, which is much smaller but just as significant.
