Here is the story👇 In an unfortunate turn of events, Paul Kerouac has initiated legal action against Dunkin’ Donuts following an incident where a toilet unexpectedly exploded at one of their locations in Florida, as reported by the NY Post. This incident took place on January 6, 2022, and resulted in Kerouac being significantly “traumatized” and drenched in sewage. The legal claim, submitted to the 9th Judicial District of Florida, details that Kerouac was “covered with debris, including human feces and urine.”

According to the lawsuit, “After the toilet’s explosion, the plaintiff exited the restroom seeking help from the employees and management of the defendant’s establishment to clean himself off, as he was still coated in human feces and urine upon leaving the restroom,” the document outlines.

Compounding the distressing experience, Kerouac contends that the staff at the Dunkin’ Donuts branch in Orange County were previously aware of the “issues with the toilet.” Kerouac is asking for $50,000 in damages and coverage of legal fees, citing the necessity for mental health care and counseling due to the trauma inflicted by the restroom incident at the defendant’s facility, alongside ongoing psychological distress.

He reports enduring “physical injury and psychological harm,” including “lasting and profound emotional distress, mental suffering, loss of enjoyment of life, as well as the costs associated with medical care and therapy.”
