Meet Bryce Holwell for today’s #MajorMonday. Bryce is a second-year Marketing major.

🐊Why did you chose your major?
I chose Marketing because I really enjoy the creative aspect of working with a company or product to develop a unique brand. There are also so many opportunities within marketing that it never restricts you to one career path; you can really make your experience your own. I also have several family members in the marketing field, including my older sister, so I have been able to witness firsthand the success and impact that can come from marketing as long as you are determined and hardworking.

🐊What do you plan to do in the future?
In the future, I plan to pursue a Master’s degree in either Business Administration or International Business. As a sophomore, I’m still not completely sure what career path I would like to follow from there, but thankfully the marketing industry is extremely flexible so I can keep my options open. Most likely though, I would love to work in the marketing department of a large company that offers a lot of growth and experiential learning to further my professional development.

🐊What do you enjoy most about working within your major at UF?
One of the things I love most about UF is the amount of organizations and clubs that it offers to build leadership and communication skills that you would use in future internships and the workforce. Personally, I’m involved as the service director for the American Marketing Association, an organization that builds networking and learning opportunities for Marketing and Communications majors. Through this involvement, I’ve learned what truly to expect in the field and how to best display and network myself to potential recruiters. For future gators, I would definitely recommend searching for a club or org that best fits your interests and future goals in order to meet like-minded students who are all in the same position as you.
