"The peer coach I met with showed me that any experience is good experience and it made me feel much more confident in myself during interviewing processes," Weinandt said.

Benjamin Weinandt is a Junior Animal Science major with a Pre-Vet emphasis. This summer, he's been interning at Adams Land & Cattle. He's had the opportunity to expand his connections and gained experience working on a feedlot for the first time. Weinandt landed an interview for the internship with Adams Land & Cattle during one of UNL Career Service's Career Fairs.

"As a freshman, it can be intimidating to speak with these large companies, but it is well worth it and I implore all students to take the opportunities they are presented with," Weinandt said.

Benjamin also met with a Peer Career Coach his freshman year at the CASNR Career Center. After some great experiences, Weinandt turned around and became a Peer Career Coach himself!

"As a freshman, I lacked confidence in professional life, and after meeting with a peer coach, I had a multitude of confidence instilled in myself." Weinandt said. "After that experience, I knew that I wanted to help others who were struggling with the same thing as me."
