"I would recommend meeting with a Career Coach to any student who doesn't know exactly what they want their career path to look like," said Dahlke. "It can even be helpful if you are set on a career, because Holly brought up several things that I hadn't thought of!"

Matthew Dahlke, a senior Nutrition, Exercise, and Health Studies major with minors in Mathematics and Music, has hopes of being an endurance athletic coach in the future. 

As someone with a unique career path, Dahlke wasn't sure what his options were while he was still in college. 

That's where Career Coach Holly Smith came into help!

"Meeting with Holly was great! She gave me over a dozen examples of organizations and professionals to reach out to for more information. I was impressed with how quickly she became acquainted with the world of endurance coaching, since it's a pretty niche career path," Dahlke said.

After his meeting, Matthew was able to score several interviews with organizations Holly had pointed him to. He was even able to discover some professional certifications he didn't know existed prior to meeting with his Career Coach. 

Outside of his studies, Matthew plays in the UNL Symphony Orchestra and is a member of UNL's Cycling/Triathlon Club!
