Our state-of-the-art cardiac catheterisation laboratory and purpose-built cardio-thoracic theatre and cardiac intensive care unit (CICU) offer the capacity to perform a variety of complex minimally invasive (interventional)and ‘open heart’ surgical procedures, all on a dedicated floor of the hospital.

The unit provides coronary and carotid angiography and stenting, closure of atrial septal defect, balloon valvuloplasty and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (for aortic valve stenosis), insertion of pacemakers and ventricular assisted devices and coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) to treat coronary heart disease
