“To #BeABluejay means to branch out in our community and be for and with others. I've been beyond blessed to have met so many different people, as well as being supported and encouraged in my pursuit of the various opportunities Creighton has given me!”

Saige Christen says the accessibility of resources, Jesuit values and communal feel made it an easy decision to #ChooseCreighton. “I chose Creighton because when I first walked onto campus, I felt like it had already chosen me.” 

Along with her busy student-athlete schedule and on-campus involvement, Saige puts her time and heart into Omaha as well. She volunteers with the SAVE Program, which connects underserved youth with resources to be successful — “an awesome experience connecting with OPS elementary students,” she says.

As for her future, Saige hopes to turn her experience as a research assistant with the Douglas County Courthouse into a PhD in forensic psychology.
