Thanks to the few hundred fans who sent videos from your rally experience to rhianongelsomino and I after ara_rally round 1 in Michigan. It was so great to be back in the rally car after being out for more than a year.  Maybe it’s just shaking off the cobwebs but I’m pretty sure the fans got louder and the cars got faster since 2022! My subarumotorsportsusa yokohamatire teammates brandonsemenuk and co-driver keatonwilliams_ came out swinging. Rhi was on point and I felt good in the car but got absolutely flogged on the 15 mile power stage in wild icy, muddy conditions at night. kblock43 tannerfoust and maybe a few other American drivers have showed glimpses of speed on the world stage but I honestly believe Semenuk could be the first (north) American driver since John Buffum who has the all around skills and quality pace note making ability to give the officialwrc boys a real run. Until that day comes when redbull realizes just how good the best mtn biker in the world is on 4 wheels and take him across the pond, rhianongelsomino and I will be going to work to make this championship a fight those boys won’t forget. Sometimes it takes a good ass kicking and the realization that there is competitor worth battling to really go to work. davidhiggins75 made me level up in rally. scott_speed was that guy in nitrocross and Rhi elevated my notes ten fold since we’ve been working together.. truth be told, I’ve been very lucky to have amazing subaru_usa teammates and one hell of a great team in vermont.sportscar who have helped push me and worked with me to be my best. Game on for 2024.
