I love this trend.

It’s easy to see a glimpse of someone’s life without knowing their past so I love how these clips are showing us what many people we admire have overcome. I encourage you to scroll the reels synced to this audio. The stories are powerful.

I immediately thought of myself in 2021. A new mom with a new body who didn’t want to be seen. I was going through a divorce and constantly distracted by emotions over what the future would hold and the time I would miss out on with my child. I asked for a production role at work because I didn’t want to be on camera. I hid my body because I didn’t recognize it. 

I have pushed past negative self talk to put myself back in front of a camera. I’ve gone on hikes and ran races that remind me I love my body because of what it can do more than for what it looks like. I’ve put myself in situations to build my confidence back, even when I wanted to hide. I have worked with my co-parent to create what I would call the best divorced parenting team ever. Most importantly- I had honest conversations with people about my setbacks and asked them for help 🫶🏼

I think 2021 me would be proud of how much we’ve changed in the last three years.
