In the average time of an F1 pit stop, at least 1,110kg of plastic pollution enters the world’s oceans

F1 global partner DHL teamed up with artist Eduardo Srur at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix to raise awareness of the issue. Eduardo's creation - a full-size F1 car made from  plastic waste that was collected from Sao Paulo's Santos beach - was displayed at Interlagos during the race weekend

Over half a tonne of waste was collected, recycled locally and donated to the project
