METEOR SHOWER: The freshman boys basketball team conquered LASA on Tuesday night for the second time this season, this time on the Raptors' turf.

The Knights jumped out to a seven-point led ended the first quarter 12-5. In the second quarter, the Raptors rallied to score 15 points, but the Knights equaled that output to keep a seven-point lead heading into the half.

"I think we had a pretty good expectation of how they were going to play, but we still went into the game a little cocky because we beat them last time," Nash Wegner said.

The Knights stepped up the defensive energy in the third quarter. While the Knights again scored 15 points in the quarter, they held the Raptors to only four points. The-11 point margin for the quarter made the score 42-24 heading into the fourth quarter.

The Knights outscored the Raptors 11-8 in the final quarter.

While the Knights won handily, 53-32, Wegner lamented the team’s lack of consistency.

"We could've stayed more precise on defense and had high energy the whole game instead of slacking throughout the first quarters," Wegner said.

The freshman Knights hope to add another W to their collection on Tuesday when they take on the Travis Rebels at 5:15 p.m. in one of their final away games of the season.
