On Saturday the Knights took on the Travis Rebels away from home in south Austin. After a rocky first half, the team pulled it together in the second half to win comfortably, 58-44.

The Knights led by one after one but trailed at halftime by two.

George McCoy scored all of his 14 points in the first half. He accounted for half of the team’s 28 points at halftime.

“They were up by two points and we actually thought we might lose.” Finn Corrigan said “We were overly confident and had to work together better as a team.”

The Knights seized control of the game in the third quarter by playing better defense and holding the Rebels to only six points while scoring 13.

After that third quarter the team was able to keep their lead and cooperate with one another to take the win.

George Brode, J.D. Jordan and Ondrej Michal all scored eight points for the Knights. Travis small forward Ronald Sauls led all scorers in the game with 20 points.

The Knights also won their next game at home against Crockett on Monday. Our coverage of that game will appear on this feed shortly.
