The piano department performed the first of three shows on Monday night in the MAC. With a mix of pianists from all of the different class levels, the students all played a personally picked solo to showcase in their Spring Show.

This recital was the department's second show of the year. For the first show, the students got assigned a piece but with the creative freedom this time around the students showed out.

“I played a piece called ‘Good Days’” Julia Ross said, “When I was looking for a piece, I was kind of going through a lot and it was the only one that really stood out to me, so it kind of just clicked.”

Because this was the program’s second performance of the year, the students felt more at ease and prepared.

Not only is it a show for parents to see but for the students to learn from their peers.

“My favorite part of the show was seeing what everyone's picks and choices were.” Ross said, “A lot of the songs I knew because they were covers, but it was interesting to hear new things.”

The piano recitals continued with shows on Tuesday and Wednesday nights in the MAC.
