Join us and celebrate the power of poetry with the I Am the Legacy Poetry Competition!

With parental consent, poets and spoken word artists in grades 9-12 from the Memphis Metro/Shelby County area can compete for cash prizes: $2,000 for 1st place, $1,500 for 2nd place, and $1,000 for 3rd place!

The top three poets will perform live on April 4, 2024, at the Museum’s commemoration, Remembering MLK.
