The 74kg class at Classic Nationals will witness one of the greatest lifters in the sport make his full power debut to the PA national stage. Here are the best recent totals of the top nominees:

Austin Perkins 851kg (1,876lbs)
Derek LoGrande 667.5kg (1,471lbs)
Juan Delgado-Lopez 597.5kg (1,317lbs)

Delgado-Lopez is the favorite to take the overall bronze medal, despite this being his first Nationals showing and only his fourth competition. His training has been phenomenal lately; he will likely cross over the 600kg barrier. LoGrande is the heavy choice for the silver medal with his PR total of 667.5kg and his seasoned experience going back to 2017. He recently put up a sizable 195kg bench PR at Bench Nationals while in the 83kg class.

Perkins made his mark in history this past September when he hit a colossal total of 851kg, with a body weight of just over 74kg. This is higher than any 74kg or 83kg total we have ever seen. He now holds the highest GL Points of any tested lifter in the world at a huge 124.73. With the new standard he set, he is the dominant pick for taking the national title and going on to compete at Classic Worlds for the number one spot.
