HONOR CREATION

I’ve been moving into a place where, honoring myself, honoring my space, and honoring my creations is of the upmost importance. When I think about honoring myself in these ways, the idea of showing up as your authentic self is at the forefront. Differentiating “authentic beliefs” from my “authentic self” has been a liberating download for me.

Authentic beliefs can be formed from childhood conditioning, traumas you’ve experienced in life, or just exposure to certain environments. They often formulate our disposition towards life in general and often become the tool in which we justify our emotions. 

When we justify an emotion we are feeling, we create a belief, such belief creates an illusion that perpetuates in time giving us a sense of “safety” that can or may define a situation or even our identity. Yet such belief is a perception of a reality imposed on the present, not a perception of the present itself. 

The present, is where the “authentic self” thrives, meeting each emotion or experience with a fresh perspective and appreciation. Perceiving what’s in the here and now from an authentic presence allows for a breeding ground of evolution and creation that for me has been unimaginable. Opportunities and new skills have begun to surface much faster and more organically. Our beliefs are important and provide structure, but be weary of letting your beliefs of the past stagnate the growth of today.
