What does the No. 1 Student Experience mean to you?

To me, the Clemson number one student experience means growing and learning with people who can either be very similar or dissimilar from you. Clemson University offers a unlimited amount of unique ways to grow as a student and person. Joining in these experiences with people who you may or may not know helps insert you even deeper into the Clemson Family that welcomes everyone with open arms.

What have been some of your favorite parts of your Clemson journey?

My favorite parts of my Clemson journey are related to my involvement with the Student Veterans Association and the Office of Military and Veteran Engagement. These organizations have given me a multitude of lifelong friends and mentors who continue to guide and shape who I am today. In November I was elected to be the President of the SVA, and shortly after I was awarded the Clemson Outstanding Student Veteran Award. These moments, along with dozens of others such as cheering on the Tigers at as many sporting events as possible, make the list of my favorite Clemson moments.

What does Clemson mean to you?

Clemson means a family away from family. Being an out-of-state transfer student, I have no family within a thousand miles of Clemson. The university has given me that sense of belonging that I was searching for. Clemson allows me the opportunity to get involved with people whom I would never otherwise interact with. The melting pot that is Clemson University continues to surprise and impress me on a daily basis.
