Everyone meet Joi! 👋

Joi is a senior financial management major from Columbia, SC. Follow along on Stories as she shares a day in her life as an orientation ambassador!

1. Why did you decide to be an orientation ambassador?
I decided to become an orientation ambassador because I wanted to share my love for Clemson, connect incoming students with campus resources, and help with a smooth transition from high school to college. Being in this position has been rewarding because I’ve grown individually, but I’ve also gained many long lastly connections!

2. Describe your Clemson experience in 3 words.
Three words to describe my Clemson Experience would be refreshing, humbling, and impactful. Throughout my time here at Clemson, I’ve been involved in many different areas of campus, and each experience has shown me another side of Clemson that makes me fall in love with this university even more. But being here has also shown me my passion in life and taught me many life lessons that I will carry with me forever!

3. What is your advice to Clemson students?
My advice to Clemson students is to be yourself unapologetically. Don’t feel pressured to try and fit in or conform to what people want you to be, just show them the real you and they will fall in love with who you are!
