🏀🏙️Ahead of the Hercules Tire Big South Championships, news outlets interviewed President Qubein on the positive economic impact of hosting the tournament! Here’s a peek at what the tournament brings with it to HPU’s campus and beyond: 

📈 $7 million in local economic impact
🚙 20,000 out-of-town visiting fans
🏨 550 hotel rooms reserved for visiting teams, bands and cheer squads alone! This isn’t counting the fans.
🍕 Our favorite fact? Local Italian restaurant Giannos expects to sell so much pizza during the week of the tournaments that they’re temporarily adding a third shift of bakers to prepare desserts, bread and pizza dough! Something they’ve never had to do.
