Eight distinguished New Trier High School alumni will receive the school’s Alumni Achievement Award, joining 70 of their peers in the Alumni Hall of Honor. Over the past two days, five of the honorees were able to visit with students to share their expertise and answer questions about their careers and experiences since graduating from New Trier.
 
🛰️NASA chemist and inventor Robert Bryant ’80 visited with Astronomy classes
💻Chairman and Co-founder of Wind River Systems Jerry Fiddler ’69 visited with business law and financial management classes (joined by his fellow classmate and nominator David Lopater ’69)
⚕️Board-certified orthopedic surgeon Dr. Richard Sherman ’73 visited with Clinical Anatomy, Sports Medicine, and Applied Human Anatomy classes
🎹Producer, songwriter, and keyboardist Sam Barsh ’99 visited with Jazz Ensemble and Music Production classes
🌎Global advocate for girls and women Tara (Purohit) Abrahams ’94  visited with Girls Club and Girl Up club members
 
Tonight, they will join the three other #HallofHonor inductees at the New Trier Educational Foundation’s #Gala2024: Audible Founder Donald Katz ’70, Investor and Philanthropist Lisel Pritzker Simmons ’02, and Professor of Computer Science Ellen Spertus ’86.
