Healthy, well-nourished children learn better. Yet, every day, millions of children around the world go to school on an empty stomach.

School meals provide a vital source of nutrition for many of them.

Amid ongoing conflicts and crises, our colleagues from the #UnitedNations World Food Programme (WFP) continue to provide this life-saving assistance to millions of children around the world, including through take-home rations.

On Thursday's International School Meals Day, WFP is calling on countries to ensure that all students have access to school meals, and are healthy and ready to learn.
