World Kidney Day is an annual global awareness campaign, and this year, Duchess Hospital is proud to champion the theme: "Kidney Health for All - Advancing Equitable Access to Care and Optimal Medication Practice." 

The kidneys play a vital role in maintaining overall health by filtering waste products and excess fluids from the blood, regulating blood pressure, and producing hormones that help regulate various bodily functions. However, kidney disease is a growing concern worldwide, affecting millions of people of all ages and backgrounds. Without proper management and treatment, kidney disease can progress to kidney failure, requiring dialysis or transplantation for survival.

This year’s theme particularly resonates with us at The Duchess because it encapsulates our core mission of providing access to affordable world-class care for all.
