In collaboration with many programs across the country, we are inviting our fellow student-athletes, coaches, and staff to take part in a Run for Black Lives Matter On Monday, June 8th. “The goal of the fundraiser is to get people active and motivated to donate while acknowledging the 8 minutes and 46 seconds that George Floyd was forcibly held down by Minnesota police. This is only one significant instance of police brutality that resulted in the death of a black person. We hope to bring awareness to racism, social injustice, and equality through a new light.”⁣
