📌 If you live somewhere with a high flood risk, I also recommend getting flood insurance coverage along with your homeowners insurance. 

All of these types of insurance aren't always needed at the same time, but throughout your life, you'll need a combination of them, depending on your situation.

When it comes to long-term care insurance, make sure to get that in place by the time you turn 60. For umbrella insurance, don't worry about getting that until you have at least a $500,000 net worth.

This isn't an exciting subject, but it's SO important. If you haven't checked your coverage lately, NOW is the time.
