The first time we took Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University was about 8 years ago. It just seemed too overwhelming to think about being debt free. At that time combined we had over $70k in student loan debt alone.

Nonetheless the program taught us so much:
💡How to create a budget together as a new married couple
💡That we were spending thousands of dollars on eating out every month 😵
💡How to tackle your debt with the snowball method
💡It doesn’t matter how much money you make… if you’re living above your means you’re always going to spend more than you can make

And the most important lesson we would say we learned is: how to spend CONSCIOUSLY & INTENTIONALLY on what we really want vs just spending out of habit or out of societal pressures.

It had been so long since we took Financial Peace University, we kind of lost sight of Dave Ramsey’s FPU method, but then we were re-inspired by our friend josie.verduzco. Her story was so inspiring and we decided to jump back on and start tackling our debts again. Months later, with #gazelleintensity & focus, we paid off the last of our debt and here we are… On Baby Steps 4/5/6. (For those Dave Ramsey people out there.. you know what that means!)
