✨DEBT. FRIGGIN. FREE.✨

Long post, but I’ve waited so long for this so here it goes!!

2 and a half years ago, I was in the middle of a major financial crisis. Or at least major to me. The car I had bought as a graduation gift to myself failed me after having only owned it for 3 years….warranty uncovered! 😵‍💫 Between credit cards, student loans, personal loans, a car loan… I was underwater and it was the most financially stressful time in my life.

I was talking to Nick on one of our many long drives to visit our families on Labor Day weekend when he referred me to daveramsey ramsey.solutions and the ’Total Money Makeover’. He said “I can’t fix your problems for you, but everything you need to know is in this book.”…The rest is history. I listened everyday on my 30 minute commute, and then binged the podcast. I was hooked, determined and FIRED UP because I had a plan, and the BEST support system (thanks friends and fam!). Of course I’m forever grateful to Nicholas for being my go-to financial guru, best friend, hype man, and partner in everything I do!!!! 💜

Anyone who knew me during that time knows how much I talked about being debt free by 30. It has been my biggest goal for 2.5 years now, and here I am debt free (and WEIRD) at 28!! 🤯 I had my work cut out for me balancing my full time job, bartending on weekends, waiting tables in a KILT after normal working hours (shout out to my Irish Penny gals 🍀), and freelancing. Today I made my last payment, and it has all been 100000% worth it.

There’s a quote somewhere that says you have to work really hard for just a little bit of luck. It’s been my motto for a while now and it sure has manifested into a lot of great things lately.

Cheers. To. THAT. 🥂
