WE'RE DEBT FREE!!! Long post warning...starting July 2019, Cole and I had 12 loans out not including our house. We had some savings but went to the grocery store one day and I remember Cole wanting to buy something non essential and I told him we shouldn't get it because we're spending more than saving. We came home and had a huge life changing talk about money! He said "I read this Dave Ramsey book in college and I'm going to read it again and try to get us out of debt". When he told me the baby steps and how the snowball thing worked I had doubts but told him we would try it cuz I was ready for a change. 29 months later here we are! Now by debt free we mean consumer debt and this does not including the house. I honestly was a little afraid to post this because I feel like it's the American way to be in debt. I can't tell you how many times I heard "why the heck are you doing this" or "why don't you just go buy a new truck or a new snowmobile, etc." To be honest, this post is for us! I'm proud that Cole and I worked as a team! We had to change our minds and habits and it was hard. I would start to give up and he would say nope we got this! I feel like we can now accomplish anything and I'm so happy to be with such an equally motivated person. Here's to the next steps!! Starting 2022 off right ✅.
