OFFICIALLY 100% DEBT FREE!!

$43,971.82 of Private Student Loan Debt GONE in 364 Days!

One year ago I received my first ever paycheck as a Registered Nurse. My student loans were something I knew I didn’t want to hold on to for very long, I couldn’t imagine still paying for college 10-20 years down the road and I didn’t want to live my life that way. So I made a goal.... be 100% debt free in one year.

Since following daveramsey and the debt snowball I have seen many stories of people take on the debt free challenge and the saying “hard work” came up often. Personally, this wasn’t hard. It was ADDICTING and honestly, kind of fun!! Over the course of a year I watch a very large number trickle down each and every paycheck. It was exhilarating to take large amounts of money and tackle this head on! Yea, I’m sure I was a little more tired from the 350 extra hours of OT I put in and maybe a little grumpy some days BUT it was well worth it! My degree is paid for, I love what I do and financial freedom never felt so good!! It’s been worth the short term sacrifice for this long term freedom!! 🙂

A thank you to daveramsey and ramsey.solutions for the insight and the seven baby steps! If your looking for a solution to be debt free this is it! No gimmicks, no quick fixes... just strategy, sticking to the plan and getting it DONE! This only has to be hard if you want it to be!
