WHAT A JOURNEY!

We got serious about paying off our debt (student loans, a brand new car I had no business buying, and credit cards) once we were engaged. We decided we were so tired of being bogged down by minimum monthly payments and feeling like we’re living paycheck to paycheck, even with good paying jobs. Typical American story right?

Well then comes daveramsey in our story. I remembered seeing the baby steps up on my refrigerator growing up *thanks dad* and mentioned it to abalotti . Guess what, he remembers Dave from his dad listening to him! So we gave it a shot, found his podcast to listen to and bought his books. We followed the steps (as best we could, definitely straying a bit at times) and constantly reminded each other of how wonderfully free we would feel after all of the sacrifices we have made!

Now here we are 10 months into our first year of marriage and completely debt free! God sure does have a great plan for us even though we may not always see or understand it right away. Cheers to you honey, we finally did it!
