3…2…1…I am debt free! I came across a Dave Ramsey video on YouTube in January 2020 and decided I would start to pay off $19,000 of school debt. I listened to the Dave Ramsey podcast over 100 times in 2020…so much that I memorized the intro. What I learned is that whether you have 750K or $750 of debt, you can pay it off! Listen to the debt-free screams on YouTube or on the podcast and tell me how you feel after...I still cry every time. HAHA⁣

In Jan. and Feb. I only paid $200 and then stopped and saved during March and April because of you-know-what. From May to December, I paid the remainder. It is the best feeling to no longer have payments and it is worth the short-term sacrifice. ⁣
⁣
I was fortunate to defer my loans while I finished school, as well as interest on federal loans being paused because of you-know-what. No matter the situation, sacrifices have to be made. The choice to do something different has to be made. Budgets need to be made too! I highly recommend the Dave Ramsey podcast or taking his class, as well as using the Every Dollar Budget app. Please DM me if you want to hear more about how I did it or if you have questions!
