September 25, 2020 our family’s life changed forever. We became debt free! In August 2019 Chad approached me saying he wanted to take Dave Ramsey’s class, Financial Peace University, being offered at our church. I was flat out against it. I hated finances and talking about them. I thought debt was a part of life and there was no way to live without it. Chad was persistent and basically just said we are doing it 😂 I’m forever thankful he followed God’s prompting and did what he knew was best for his family. Taking these classes has changed me forever in all different ways, not just financially. I feel more disciplined, more confident, and definitely closer to The Lord. The biggest gift has been surrendering His finances to Him. I had no idea I was holding so tightly to something that wasn’t even mine to begin with. Letting go and letting God take control of the Wentling finances has been so freeing and so emotionally uplifting. The part that makes me ball like a baby is that our kids will never have to know debt. We’ve been equipped with the tools to teach them and show them what surrendering their finances looks like. We now have an opportunity to provide for them like we never dreamed and as a parent I don’t think there’s a better feeling. I feel like daveramsey rachelcruze and chrishogan360 are now a part of our family and I’m so thankful for them ♥️ However, this post isn’t to brag on us or brag on Dave Ramsey. This post is to brag on God, His goodness, and how wonderful it can be to surrender life to Him. God deserves all the glory for this. We’ve still got a long way to go on this journey but I’m so thankful for where God has brought us so far. Here’s to Baby Step #3! #debtfree #debtfreecommunity #babystep2done
