interrupting my regularly scheduled instas to announce... I am officially debt free!
Last July, brad and I were pretty early in our relationship and on every car ride he would play the daveramsey podcast. It honestly made me super uncomfortable because I was in the worst financial shape I’d ever been in coming out of a divorce, multiple moves across the country and, to be honest, some hefty shopping habits 😂 but one day, something Dave said about discipline-building stuck and I caved and bought his book, total money makeover. I took the cover off while I read it so that brad wouldn’t find out (spoiler alert - he was nosey and caught me) and I made my way through baby steps one and two. ten months later I’m excited to say I finally found that discipline and got my stuff together! debt of any kind is super embarrassing, and there is such a stigma talking about it publicly, but if doing this can inspire one person to do this then it’s worth the public humiliation 🙌🏼 If you’re reading this and feeling uncomfy, I volunteer to be your person and text you and say “you don’t need that” on a weekly basis ❤️ I am so thankful for brad and my friends who did that for me! #daveramsey #debtfree #debtfreescream #babystep2
