I don’t have kids nor a mortgage, I don’t have student loans nor a car payment, but I had credit card debt and a nasty spending habit. .

I wasn’t $100,000 in debt, but I was able to do what most won’t and that was to pay off my credit card debt.
I owed $5,777.46 (my math was off by 2¢) because I was irresponsible and I “treated myself,” thought I would “pay it off later,” and did it for the “points and cash back.”

It was so important to me to get out of this hole so I could properly save money and build my investments. .
I applied everything I’ve learned in the last 2 years to attack this debt, which was through mentors and financial coaches. .

Debt: lack of discipline; symptom of instant gratification; lack of adequate knowledge; immaturity.
Stop making excuses and rationalizations for why credit cards are “okay if you pay them off,” go pay off your debt and build wealth. .
