This journey actually started about 9 years ago; our total pay off is over $537,000 in that time frame.
Last year we decided to really get serious and crush all of our debt outside of our mortgage, AND check off baby steps 3, 4, and 5. Over $100K is GONE and we took care of retirement, cushy savings, and our kids' college funds.
Next up: crush our mortgage in 5 years or less.
