If you declare something and believe your own words with faith, it WILL come to pass! Almost 28k of student loans gone in 1 year! In May of 2018, I made the decision to not accept this torture of a lifestyle of paying loans any longer. I had made the decision that I will no longer be the slave to the lender. I had decided that THIS was NOT my life! And if I had anything to do about it, I’d be free. In May, something clicked, and I refused to look toward my 30s in debt. I refused to look toward my future marriage in debt. I refused to raise my future family knowing debt. I REFUSED! So I put my big girl pants on and went on budgets, sacrificed, said ‘no’ too many times to count, and kept the faith. It was one of the hardest things I had to do, but it became one of the best things I ever did. With God on my side, so much encouragement and sound teaching from daveramsey and the AMAZING TEAM and debt free community out there, being debt free was possible. I declared in May 2018 that I would give myself no more than a year to get rid of this massive mountain. I was not going to enter my next chapter with it. So I am proud to stand and say that as of May 2019, I’M DEBT FREEEEEEE!!!!!!! I waited to talk about it because I wanted to be sure I’d STAY free! And when you’re free, you’re Free Indeed!! I’m wiser, I’m stronger, and I’m not even 30 yet! GOALS SMASHED! The SKY is the limit and it’s only the beginning! This was my time and I handled it like a Queen! I’d like to encourage anyone who is in the journey and trying to get to financial freedom, it is possible! I can’t wait to share my story in depth and help others in any way I can. I’m no expert, but I’m free, so I did something right.
