Today is the day. A huge day in our lives and in our marriage. We can proudly say…WE ARE DEBT FREE!!! It is unbelievable that just 7 months ago we got married and one month after that we started our Debt free journey.

We looked at each other and said, lets do this, lets hustle, sacrifice, live like no one else so we can live like no one else, and we can start our family on the right path. $15,029.09 of debt out of our lives forever and committing to never owing anyone anymore!!!! We are so very proud. 
We were lucky enough to find daveramsey and his baby steps.

We spent a whole weekend listening to The Total Money Makeover and exploring the #debtfreecommunity online and we were instantly sold. Decided to make a budget, start making our money work for us, and start hustling at gazelle level intense.

Our journey hasn’t been perfect, we made mistakes, got frustrated, wanted to cave and stop being weird but we kept at it. Hustling every chance we got and watching our numbers come down in amazement. We set a written budget that allowed for optimal savings, found side hustles that worked for our schedules, sold stuff, stayed home, and most importantly we were committed…that’s how we accomplished it! The biggest thing we’ve gotten out of this journey so far is….why didn’t we do this sooner? Why did we continue to live in debt thinking it was normal and being OK with letting someone else take our hard earned money? That is something I have questioned multiple times over this journey and if you are reading this and are unsure about budgeting and paying off your debt then my biggest piece of advice is start now! Don’t wait to start, you’ll be glad you did it sooner rather than later.

Now that we are debt free and done baby step 2, its onto baby step 3 and 3b! We are so excited and not letting up on the gas, it’s time to hustle even harder and see that bank account grow.
