One year ago, I had $35,000 in student loans. Today, I am DEBT FREE.

I’m a 23 year old multifaceted entrepreneur - running my own businesses in both health & wellness and in the art of painting & photography. On the side, I provide childcare & I’m a licensed cosmetologist. The point?? I didn’t win the lottery and no one handed me anything. Hard work {& Jesus} is what got me here. I learned some things (thank you, daveramsey), I had amazing support & guidance -> matt_reed13, I set a budget, got creative, and STRIVED towards my goals petal to the floor. I set out to CRUSH the lies that “normal” is working. Normal is broke. Living paycheck to paycheck. Slave to the lender. This past year has been everything BUT normal. But it has resulted in a sustainable business, intense work ethic/discipline, and most importantly A FUTURE OF FREEDOM!!!!!

One of the biggest issues with {most of} my generation is the lack of delayed gratification. We want everything immediately - with maximum results and minimal effort. With no wait, no self-control, no PAIN. We sign our names on the line for a fancy car{payment} in exchange for a mediocre life where we “deal with it later.” We buy into so many things to impress people. I’m a LOT more impressed by a beater car you paid CASH for than I am with a LEASED sports car. But YOLO, right????

Well, Dave Ramsey says it a little different - “LIVE LIKE NO ONE ELSE, SO THAT LATER, YOU CAN LIVE LIKE NO ONE ELSE.”
