April marks the start of a debt free chapter. We paid off approximately $40,000 in 23 months. This total included a car payment, credit card debt, medical bills, store purchases, business debt and student loans. This journey wasn’t easy and took a lot of sacrifice. jaredmata77 and I worked a lot of overtime. We said NO a lot and to many things. We cut back...waaaayyyyy back! We cut eating out and cooked mainly at home. We started clipping coupons and learned how to shop for deals. We bought only what was needed. We got rid of monthly bills such as cable. We did that in order to put ALL our money towards getting out of debt asap! •
This journey began when we attended daveramsey Financial Peace University (FPU) at our church 2 year’s ago and it changed our lives forever. We had a lot of disagreements and moments of discouragement, but we kept moving forward towards achieving the main goal...being debt free. We feel that we are no longer limited or slaves to lenders. We live in freedom! We are more excited about the future than ever before. We feel we can now do anything without worrying about money constantly. We’re looking forward to giving more, saving more and achieving more. •
We thank God for helping us through this process. He blessed us in so many ways and continues to do so. We are also grateful to the Dave Ramsay team for your amazing resources that have led to our ultimate success. We also couldn’t have done it without the support of my parents. We are now like you - minus the house, but we’re headed there. This is just the beginning of what’s to come! 
We want to encourage others who may be contemplating starting the process. You can do it! You’re not alone. Just keep moving forward. ———————————————
