50k! 50 large! 50 big ones! FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS! We paid off $50,000 in debt in FIVE months!!! We were in it to win it my friends. I thought long and hard about whether or not to share such a personal post here but if we can encourage even one other person it will be worth it. So listen. Homegirl needed (🙄😏) a Lexus. And then homegirl needed another bigger and better Lexus. Homegirl needed to go to Target. Homegirl needed Moe’s chips and queso. Homegirl needed to buy her dog a Coach dog collar. Homegirl needed cars and stuff and food and brands. But really what homegirl needed was a wake up call. (Homeboy too but I wanted to make this personal). ENTER DAVE RAMSEY. Read his book in one day. Downloaded his budget app. Sold everything but the dog. Gave ourselves an allowance. Met for weekly budget meetings. We just wanted more. So. Much. More. Our why? To change our family tree. Our son’s life is forever changed because we decided enough was enough. We knew we made too much to have this many bills! NOT ANYMORE PLAYERS! We did it! We did it! We really really did it. And the truth is, none of those things I named are bad. I still love all of those things. (Especially Moe’s queso I mean c’mon) But I love them when I can pay cash for them. And driving around in my paid for dream car? Are ya kidding? You don’t HAVE to have a car payment. In fact, imagine how good it would feel without one. Seriously! We. Feel. Weightless. HEY DAVE! 3, 2, 1, WE’RE DEBT FREE!!!! See you at MTH soon, friend😉 🎉🎊 Now if you need us we will be in Paris celebrating. Ok kidding.
