Once upon a time, our city had the world's largest indoor swimming pool, but now all that remains are the ruins. Rather than demolish them, they are there as a reminder of our past and a beautiful sight to see in person. Welcome to #SFOutdoors.

Sutro Baths was opened in 1896 by entrepreneur and former mayor, Adolph Sutro. Unfortunately, the place closed in 1966, and shortly thereafter, a fire destroyed the building. Today, all that is left are concrete walls, blocked off stairwells and a tunnel with a deep crevice.
To check out the ruins, head out to the north end of Ocean Beach, where Geary Blvd meets the Great Highway. Photo by chica_yeye.
