BMW Art Car Artist juliemehretu’s exhibition ‘Ensemble’ opens March 17 at Pinault Foundation’s palazzo_grassi 🏛️🚗

The exhibition will showcase her work over the last 25 years, including recent paintings across two floors of Palazzo Grassi. In ‘Ensemble,’ Mehretu’s art enters into a rich dialogue with works by her friends, demonstrating collective dimension and the “team player” aspect that is core to Julie’s practice.

Mehretu’s BMW Art Car #20 is close to the finish line as well; hear from Mehretu to learn about her process in painting on canvas and car. “The creative play of what you can do in this new three-dimensional space and how many imaginations and inventions are played out to build it is highly instructive.” ~ Julie Mehretu
