"He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven. Let them thank the LORD for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man!" -Psalm 107:29-31

Thank God for his everlasting mercy and love. That he delivers us from the storm and has us lie down by still waters. In my distress, I turn to Jesus, for he will deliver me and stands by my side. This is what I love about him and his Word: that by abiding in him, the Holy Spirit reveals the character of God. It is so beautiful to spend time each day in the Bible, listening to the Spirit, being patient with the Lord, and just praising him. We need to be with God, just as in any relationship, and even more so, for he is our creator and deserves our love, respect, and attention. And from what we know about Jesus, we cannot help but proclaim his name and all that he has done.

This too I enjoy: being out in the Father’s creation; looking out at the wonder of nature. Spending my time with the Lord, meeting with him in his own creation—a view of islands, the beach, the ocean, the clouds and sun above, the trees and plants below...
