Photo and video by babaktafreshi / In Paris I waited for the moon to align with the Champs-Élysées Avenue as it set over the Arc de Triomphe. We are so used to the moon's presence that we often forget its cosmic identity—how bizarre it is to see another world so easily and strikingly from 400,000 kilometers (250,000 mi) away. For a car traveling nonstop at highway speed (100kph/60 mph), it would take six months to travel that distance.
