Photos by simonnorfolkstudio / This time last year I cycled around London streets in the early morning hours, documenting the profound impact lockdown was having on the city, which seemed like it was frozen in a dream. The light was gorgeous, the architecture uncluttered and sharply picked out. The first scene is from Trafalgar Square in May 2020; the next the same spot in from May 2021, during a rally, just as a vaccinated U.K. was reawakening.
