Video by joelsartore / The black and red broadbill is an unmistakable inhabitant of waterside forests, mangroves, and plantations. During the breeding season, which ranges from March to June, males and females of this species can be observed working together to build pendulous nests that hang one to two meters (yards) above the local water source. Once the nest is constructed, the female will lay up to three eggs, which are incubated by both parents for around 21 days. Video taken penangbirdpark.
