## Caption

Photo by irablockphoto / Barbary sheep run through a wildlife reserve on Sir Bani Yas island in the United Arab Emirates. Once deserted, Sir Bani Yas was restored into a sanctuary for endangered animals. The island has over 2.5 million trees, planted by hand, and a pipeline irrigation system that extends over 73,000 miles (117,000 km). Barbary sheep are native to North Africa and are currently a threatened species. Follow irablockphoto for more travel stories. #UAE #barbarysheep #sirbaniyasisland #irablock
