🎨 Intersection between the #renal (kidney), #cardiovascular (heart), and #immune (cytokines shown as ⚪) systems and how changes in the molecular machinery by DNA missense mutation, as well as changes in protein structure greatly influence hypertension conditions. 

🧑‍🎨 Rachel Eom is a rising senior at william_and_mary. She has practiced fine arts since the 2nd grade and has developed a focus on 2D media Intersecting the arts and sciences has always been a strong interest of hers, and she strives to promote this movement! #SciComm 

🧑‍🔬 The Meena Madhur lab studies the intersection of #genetics, #inflammation, and #hypertension using a combination of cell culture experiments, animal models, human samples, and electronic health records linked to DNA biobanks.
