Only once in a blue Moon is our skywatching calendar this busy! Here’s a breakdown of when to look up:

☄️ Aug. 11 – Enjoy the peak of the Perseid meteor shower around 10 p.m. (22:00) your time, until early morning twilight.

🌌 Aug. 19 – Jupiter will be directly opposite the Sun from Earth.

🌕 Aug. 22 – Gaze at the beautiful full blue moon.

🪐 🔆 All month long, Jupiter and Saturn can be seen from sunset to sunrise, as the pair are at “opposition,” which is when they’re at their biggest and brightest.
